S.T.D. is proud to announce a night of broken up LA beats and grooves with Soulection artists Esta. and The Whooligan bringing in Spring on April 11th in Arkham. 

Soulection is a record label, radio show and niche collective of creative music makers worldwide. Based in Los Angeles, CA, Soulection is the home of some of the world's cutting edge beat makers including Ta-ku, Sango, Esta, Mr. Carmack, IAMNOBODI and Lakim. They were titled "L.A's Up and Coming Indie Electronic Label" by LA weekly and continue rocking their monthly parties at L.A's historic Echoplex.

One of Soulection's finest producers Esta will be joining us to introduce to Shanghai exactly what makes Soulection one of the most buzzing labels onthe West Coast. Old school sounds, new school production laced together with a hint of swagger that has been quickly infiltrating the internet and our lounge rooms. Esta. will be joined by label mate The Whooligan to complete the night along with the STDJs.

With the Sun slipping back into our lives and our souls thawing in it's light, drop back down to Arkham on April 11 and shake the rest of the winter out of your hips. Beers are 2 for 1 before midnight so come in early and make the most of it!

洛杉矶电子厂牌Soulection始于独立电台时期的声名鹊起，而后建立起自己的音乐网络，旨在从全球搜罗时髦又前卫的音乐，以厂牌发行、广播电台、现场演出等把这些最棒的声音带到全世界。雄心勃勃的Soulection向来以推动“未来之声”为己任，是谈及洛杉矶乃至美国嘻哈电子场景时绕不过的新兴力量。此次受S.T.D.之邀，Soulection在即将进行的上海之行中带来厂牌下两位实力制作人/DJ，4月11日放送真正纯正的洛杉矶地下电子声音。 

去年发行了第一张专辑“Gradient”的Esta是Soulection旗下炙手可热的新星，2012依靠Soundcloud上发布的作品引起厂牌注意，让Soulection意识到这是完全不可错过的时代声音，毫无疑问的是，Esta的创作总是比你想要的还要更多。他善于融合情感和音乐，使两者达到平衡，狂放无际的鼓点和极富画面感的优美旋律总是可以在他的手下汇于一处。 

化名The Whooligan的Julio Galvez从不让固有风格局限自身，作为湾区文化的重要代表人物，他拥有对音乐毋容置疑的热情和极其纯熟的技术，这一切都被The whooligan带上舞台，具有个人特质的超火爆现场让他赢得全世界听众的青睐，在2009年更是被迈阿密的Winter Music Conference评为当年十大DJ之一，除此之外，他还在Outside Lands、SXSW等盛会引爆全场。
