Shanghai’s orgy of deconstruction and infrastructure building surround the metropolis. But how about turning this fanatic urbanization into a canvas for art? Like graffiti in its medium to communicate political messages, artist Alexandre Farto utilizes the deconstruction process to communicate his urban renovation stories on the surfaces of city walls.
Going by the name of VHILS, he is part artist, part stone mason. He’s even made his scratches on the walls near Shanghai Gallery Magda Danysz.
