STD x YOHO! present Yo'Hood ft Joey Purp & Kohh

YOHO! is back, ready to showcase the cutting edge of fashion. The trade show allows clothing brands to connect with those who wear the threads on the streets of China. Moving into it’s 11th year - we are proud to host the Yo’Hood afterparty again in 2016!

After throwing a crazy four venue party last year, we are now going to distill the vibes into one club with a huge party at Arkham. Bringing the beats will be Joey Purp & Kohh, supported by local acts Fader One, Louie Louie & G₳LI.

Joey Purp, member of the Money Saving Crew, is a wild lyricist hailing from Chicago, He made his name featuring on critically acclaimed projects like ‘Surf’ by Donnie Trumpet & Chance The Rapper, ‘Innanetape’ by Vic Mensa and ‘.wav Theory’ by Towkio. He continued exploring sonic boundaries as part of Leather Corduroys, with their album hitting over 1.5 million plays and paving the way for them to grace the stages of festivals across the USA.

In 2016, alongside touring with Vic Mensa, he released a solo album - iiiDrops - and it was immediately received as one of the best hip hop records of the year, gaining a strong 8.2 from Pitchfork earning ‘Best New Album’.

KOHH, born in the town of Ouji (Japan), composes heavy hitting raw lyrics that express the realistic and rough side of life. His style cannot be categorized or placed in a genre box. Releasing tracks since 2012, he became the first Hip Hop artist from Japan to be featured internationally on Vice. His second album ‘Monochrome’ rose to #1 in the iTunes hip hop charts in 2014, with his 2015 offering ‘Kuchinashi’ hitting #1 overall. He also featured on the sensation ‘It G Ma’ with Keith Ape which has now hit over 21 million plays on youtube.
