An infectious house duo from North London - Gorgon City. A name influenced by the love of Greek mythology. Back in 2013 producers “Foamo” and “RackNRuin” suited up as Gorgon City and by steadily releasing new music found themselves in the forefront being one of the leading forces in UK house scene. With previous solo career experiences the two Londoners didn’t waste time and a year later after their collaboration released their first full length studio album “Sirens” which included appearance from Katy B, Maverick Sabre and Jennifer Hudson to name a few. The album including the hit single “Ready For Your Love” brought the spotlight on the promising young duo and set them for take off towards worldwide dance scene.
Gorgon City draws influences from 90’s UK underground, garage, grime and even Hip-Hop. With their next release in 2015 an album called “Kingdom” the group sparked the beginning of their own podcast by the same name as the album which currently airs in over 40 country every week which highlight their dj sets and new releases.
Currently the duo are signed to an independent label - Black Butter Records which include artists like Rudimental, and co-production work for Goldlink, J Hus and many more. Both members of Gorgon City are proficient on CDJ’s spinning various records but the real excitement comes from their live sets which include various production tools, multiple synths and their musicality to unleash unheard songs that make the atmosphere and crowd involvement a fascinating experience.
Gorgon City ——来自北伦敦的极具感染力的House组合，他们的组合名字来源于古希腊神话。2013年，”Foamo”和“RackNRuin”两位制作人组建了Gorgon City，从此他们通过不断发行走在音乐最前线的优秀作品成为了英国House界的领军力量。有了曾经各自Solo时期的经验，他们在合作之初就产生了良好的化学反应。组建仅一年之后，Gorgon City就发布了他们的第一张录音室专辑“Sirens”。虽然这只是他们的处女座，但合作阵容却星光熠熠，包括了Katy B、Maverick Sabre及Jeniffer Hudson等大牌音乐人。专辑中的热门单曲“Ready For Your Love”让这个年轻的组合名声大噪，也令他们在全世界的舞曲圈声名鹊起。
他们深受90年代英国地下音乐、车库摇滚、Grime甚至Hip-Hop的影响，多元化的风格给了他们的作品多样的魅力。2015年，Gorgon City发布了他们的第二张专辑“Kingdom”，同时以这个名字开启了他们自己的电台节目。如今，Kingdom电台每周被超过40个国家播放，内容包括Gorgon City的DJ Set表演以及他们的新作品等。目前Gorgon City签约在知名独立厂牌 Black Butter Records旗下。Black Butter Records与Goldlink、J Hus等人合作的项目享誉英国音乐界。Gorgon City的同门还包括Rudimental等音乐人。Gorgon City的两位成员都精于DJ技巧，但他们的live能力更令人兴奋。多彩的制作、多样的合成器，Gorgon City的音乐能力足以把观众带入动人的音乐享受境界。5月4日，来和Gorgon City一起步入奇妙电子世界！
