STD presents Night Slugs showcase SH ft. Bok Bok, Kingdom & L-Vis 1990

We are proud to be showcasing one of the most enigmatic and versatile labels of the past decade - Night Slugs. Representing the imprint are none other than founders Bok Bok & L-Vis 1990 alongside regular contributor Kingdom.

Founded in 2010, Night Slugs quickly became a home for the synth-heavy hybrid sounds which emerged from the first wave of UK Grime. The founding duo curated an all encompassing catalogue which has featured heavyweights Mosca, Pearson Sound & Girl Unit.

This catch-all mentality transmits into their DJ sets and productions. Bok Bok takes heavy influences from the Chicago House golden era of the 90’s and blends them with a myriad of UK genres. L’Vis 1990’s teenage years were spent DJing in Brighton, which culminated in his standout first release - The L-Vis 1990 EP. His more recent output on Clone Jack For Daze saw some thumping ghetto house jams. Heavy.

Kingdom  seamlessly blends sounds from grime, house and hip hop and his output is often cited as a ‘hybridized, cutting-edge, and potent strain of dance music.’ He first featured on Night Slugs in 2009 and has since relocated to LA to run his own label Fade To Mind, a Night Slugs sister label.

One of these DJs would captivate a dancefloor all night, but together, they will provide a truly explosive show.
